Review guidelines
Reviews help students choose an education agency. These rules keep them honest, useful and fair to everyone.
Who can write a review
- Anyone who used an agency’s services, or had a real consultation with them, can write one review per agency every 12 months.
- We confirm your email address with a 6-digit code before your review is considered.
- Agencies can invite their clients through Univs. Univs sends the invitation, not the agency. Reviews written from an invitation show a “Verified client” label.
- Owners, staff and family of an agency cannot review it, and agencies cannot review their competitors.
What a good review includes
- Your own experience: what the agency helped with, what went well and what could be better.
- Facts you know first-hand, such as how quickly they replied or how they prepared your documents.
- Positive and negative experiences are both welcome. We never remove a review because it is critical.
What is not allowed
- Phone numbers, email addresses, links or social media handles — yours, the agency’s or anyone else’s.
- Offensive, abusive, discriminatory or threatening language.
- Private information about another person, such as a counsellor’s personal details.
- Reviews that are paid for, swapped, written in return for a discount or gift, or written for someone else.
- Advertising, or content that is not about your experience with the agency.
How we check reviews
- Automated checks read every review in many languages for insults, hate, threats, sexual content, spam and contact details. Reviews that pass are published straight away.
- Reviews that a check flags are held for the Univs team, usually for up to two working days, and published only if they follow these rules. If we cannot publish your review, we email you the reason.
- Agencies cannot edit, hide or delete reviews. They can reply once publicly (and edit their reply) and report a review they believe breaks these rules. Univs decides; the review stays visible while we check.
- Anyone can report a review with the Report link next to it.
- We remove reviews that break these rules. If we find an agency buying, writing or pressuring for reviews, we may remove those reviews, label or remove its listing.
Your privacy
- Your email address is never shown with your review and is never shared with the agency.
- Only the name you choose to display, your rating, your review and its date are public.
- We store your email securely to confirm your review, send you updates about it (for example when it is published or the agency replies) and prevent fake reviews.
- To ask us to remove your review, contact Univs support from the email address you used.
Ratings show the average of published reviews, rounded to one decimal place. Reviews are personal opinions of the people who wrote them, not the views of Univs.
