Psychosocial Support (VS)

Checked 22 August 2026: entry and residence depend on nationality and length of stay. EU/EEA/Swiss students staying longer than three months follow the residence-registration route. Third-country students normally need the applicable visa or temporary residence permit for study and should apply through the correct Slovenian diplomatic mission or administrative route. Admission, identity, address, insurance and sufficient-means evidence are central, but the exact documents and filing place depend on the case. A Schengen short-stay visa, a long-stay visa and a study residence permit are different instruments; confirm the correct route before travel.

Completed current application form for the relevant visa, residence permit or EU registration route.

Valid passport or national identity document and compliant photograph where required.

Official admission or enrolment evidence from a recognised Slovenian institution.

Proof of a valid address or accommodation arrangement where required.

Proof of sufficient means in the current accepted form.

Health-insurance evidence valid for the applicant's nationality and status.

Checked 22 August 2026: official guidance promises no universal time for every study route and warns that arrangements can take months. Apply early and verify the current mission or administrative-unit timeline.

Checked 22 August 2026: Study in Slovenia states EUR 50 for issuing or renewing a non-EU student temporary residence permit. Visa, translation, legalisation, insurance, certificate and card charges may be separate.
