Student Visa Process

Saudi Arabia provides short-term and long-term educational visas. Both require acceptance from a licensed and accredited educational institution, a passport valid for at least six months from the intended entry date and proof of financial ability or a financial guarantee. Long-term applicants additionally need a medical report, medical insurance and proof of the language of study, except for applicants studying Arabic. Short-term educational visa: For short study or training lasting no more than six months. Age 16+; passport valid at least 6 months from intended entry; acceptance from a licensed/accredited institution; proof of funds or guarantee; guardian consent for applicants under 18. Institution/consular documents may add to this list. Long-term educational visa: For bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and other longer study routes. Same core conditions as short-term. Medical report showing freedom from infectious diseases; medical insurance for student and dependents; proof of language of study, except applicants studying Arabic. The official educational-visa page states that the visa does not require a sponsor. Eligible students may be able to bring dependents under the educational-visa framework.
