Saudi Arabia combines a broad national higher-education network with government scholarship routes, specialist research universities and private options in Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, Dhahran, Abha and other regions. International applicants can use the Ministry of Education’s Study in Saudi platform to explore long programs, research and training opportunities, and short programs. Costs and eligibility vary sharply: some offers are fully funded, while others are self-paid.
Quality and accreditation — The Council of Universities’ Affairs provides public and private institution directories. Academic accreditation is a separate quality check: ETEC’s National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA) is the statutory body responsible for evaluating and accrediting higher-education institutions and programs in Saudi Arabia. Directory inclusion must not be presented as proof that every program is accredited.
