The staff and the lecturers are really friendly, when ever there was any problems the preclinical supervisor was extremely helpful

Very Disappointing Experience at TSMU
My experience at Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) has been extremely disappointing. I want to share this honestly so that other international students, especially from India, can make an informed decision.
There is a noticeable issue of racism and discrimination, both inside and outside the university. Many Indian students have faced biased behavior and unfair treatment from some professors. A few professors display clear partiality and can be quite arrogant, making it difficult for students to learn comfortably.
Another serious problem is the lack of proper English communication among some professors, which makes understanding lectures and exams very challenging for international students. Despite being promoted as an English-medium program, several subjects are not taught effectively in English.
Unfortunately, the general attitude of some locals toward Indians and people of color is also unwelcoming, and students often experience racial prejudice in public and within the university environment.
Overall, I would not recommend TSMU for students looking for a respectful, fair, and professional academic environment.
Honestly, this university really needs to fix its communication system. As an international student, I’ve been waiting for weeks for a simple response from the ISS or Finance Department — nothing. I sent all required documents, even followed up several times, but no one takes responsibility or gives a clear answer.
It feels like every department keeps saying, “Not our job.” That’s not how a university should treat its students. A university isn’t just about new buildings or advertisements — real progress means helping students when they actually need support.
If the communication and support system don’t improve, international students will keep losing trust in this institution.

Not recommending it ❌…
Good university. Management is excellent and teachers are awesome.
At least they are better than caucasus university
0.5/10
Highly not recommended to any foreign student. not a university but some cheap, low level establishment
I don’t recommend anyone to study here. It’s the most irresponsible university. They never answer any questions you ask. It’s horrible.
Visited the library
Though it is small in floor area but built in an elegant way with plenty of reference resources
