My heart is heavy as I write this review about the Study Office at the university of Georgia. Despite putting in countless hours of hard work and dedication, I was failed in an exam for simply glancing at my friend during the test. This failure was not only unjust, but it left me feeling discouraged and defeated.

As a new international student, I was not aware of all the rules and regulations, and I feel that the punishment does not fit the “crime”. Education should be a place of growth and learning, not a place of punishment for innocent actions.

I hope that the university of Georgia takes this review to heart and works towards creating a more understanding and empathetic environment for students. The education system should support and uplift students, not tear them down.

Terrible place to study. Neither department functions properly. The site looks like it was made 20 years ago and it’s unable to register a subject PROPERLY. When you accouter problem, you will be sent to IT that gonna help you after days. Been studying there for 3 years, and no I’m not mad at the Uni cz i have bad grades, they are quite fine.
Final exams? Okay not that bad of an experience but do you know what curators think? That leaving your bag outside of the room totally without any supervision is right thing to do and if someone steals something “we got cameras, you can go to the security and spend your time investigating where it disappeared”
The front main entrance… Do you call that doors? While entering the building all you can think about is to move fast asap so you wont get hit by the door.

I regret spending my dearest years here.
Me and almost every person I’ve met in this university wouldn’t suggest you studying here.

If I could give -5 stars I would have given. To start off their greed is above me. There is little to no consideration concerning international students. Their only concern is their money meanwhile education wise it is poor. I mean this institute is poorly organized. How can we pay soo much yet gain so little?

Another big issue is that the school is very disorganized. When it comes to simple registration you have to register your subjects within 30mins of that day it opens and if you are lucky you will be able to and for many they may never be able to register all courses concerning that semester because study office absolutely have no sense of direction. Even when regsitering, the ug site literally malfunctions because lots of students are trying to register their courses at the same time. How do you take on what you cannot carry? How can groups be full when i paid my full fees? It seems that no one knows what to do in that school when a student comes with an issue. How can that be? It’s quite dreadful to be honest. Everyone takes you on a merry-go-round but they can never actually solve your issue. From study office to IT, from IT to head of department. From head of department back to study office again.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here unless you are alright with the system that will fail you. I feel there needs to be a revaluation of what you stand for as an institution before students become tired.

Very poor teaching

If you are an international student, run. Very bad university. Just loots money from students in every way possible. Lots of good reviews by agents and staff

Great place for students.

Average uni, no cadavers, some of the professors are really weak in English, some of the professors sometimes have no idea what they’re doing, if you want to study here you should be well aware with the idea that you have to self study most of it because they don’t teach you well enough here, but thats common in every uni to be honest. Internals carry 60% marks for the overall in each subject so if you’re aiming for a high GPA, you have to study everything everyday for the weekly tests in all subjects. Weak student government, bad communication issues between professors and groups, and between groups too. Really bad guidance for Anatomy. I would say that the university is worth it for what the students have to pay per year but if you have a higher budget, consider European countries for med. Double the cost in some countries for every year but it’s really worth it, (speaking from experience). The people are not racist usually and the country is beautiful, for Muslims they have halal messes here which is really a huge advantage. And if you’ve decided here, dont move to a hostel, get an apartment. It’s convenient to have your own space and to study without distractions. The buildings of the uni look like those old indian government buildings😭. But honestly, i like the uni.

One of best university in Georgia for medical studies, having international students from many countries. Witnessed great ceremony – convocation with nice gesture.

Worst univeristy for international students. Purposly they failed students to collect the tutition fee again
