Ilia State University, commonly called ISU or Iliauni, is a major public research university in Tbilisi. It was established in 2006 following the merger of several educational and research institutions, creating one of Georgia’s most comprehensive public universities.
The university educates more than 16,000 students and offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in natural sciences, medicine, arts, humanities, business, technology, education, law and social sciences.
