Program Structure & Plan
The Medicine (MD) Program at Grigol Robakidze University is a 6 year integrated medical education program comprising 360 ECTS credits. The curriculum is designed according to Competency Based Medical Education (CBME) principles and aligned with international medical education standards, including the Bologna Process, WFME standards, and the European Qualifications Framework.
The study plan progressively develops students’ theoretical knowledge, practical clinical competencies, communication skills, research abilities, and professional ethics through integrated modules, simulation-based training, and hospital based clinical rotations.
Years 1–2: Foundations of Medicine & Integrated Basic Sciences
The first phase of the program focuses on foundational biomedical sciences and the development of essential academic and communication skills.
