Prepare water-resources engineers focused on practical operation who can build and operate water bodies in line with construction standards and regulations, and design, build and operate water-resources management systems with sophisticated software while addressing risk; courses include hydrology of surface and groundwater, water-resources and water-quality assessment, water-resources engineering, water-resources monitoring, environmental protection, water supply and wastewater system design, and modern wastewater-treatment technologies.
Graduates determine the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of water pollutants and water-quality requirements; apply modern surface- and groundwater research methods in design; gather hydrological data for engineering projects; solve complex water-engineering problems with modern engineering software; present project proposals and research results to technical and academic audiences in line with academic ethics; and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Lectures, seminars and group work, practical and laboratory sessions, course projects, consultations, independent work and a Master's paper.
