Program Overview
Bachelors of Design at Georgian Technical University (GTU) is an English-taught bachelors degree program designed to build current academic knowledge, applied skills, professional judgment, and readiness for employment or further study. The curriculum combines core study with research, practical learning, and a final integrative component.

Design foundations, visual and spatial studies, history and theory, digital tools, materials and technologies, studios, professional practice, portfolio development, and a final design project.
Develop research-informed design concepts; communicate through drawings, models, and digital media; integrate technical, cultural, environmental, and user requirements; build a professional portfolio; and present design decisions clearly.
Lectures, seminars, guided discussion, case and problem-based learning, individual and group assignments, presentations, practical or laboratory sessions, independent study, digital learning resources, and project or research supervision.
Program Structure & Plan
4 Years, 240 ECTS. The program is normally organized into progressive semesters covering foundations, core and advanced subjects, electives, practical or research work, and a final project, thesis, or clinical component as appropriate.
