The objectives of the English-language Bachelor’s Program in Tourism are to:- Provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills based on modern developments in the field of tourism;- Develop students’ understanding of the tourism industry’s managerial and sectoral structures, consumer values, current trends, and sustainable development prospects;- Equip students with the ability to analyze problems arising in tourism activities and develop appropriate recommendations;- Foster individual and teamwork skills while adhering to corporate ethical standards and professional responsibility, preparing graduates to become competitive professionals in line with labor market demands.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will demonstrate:
Knowledge and Understanding
- Explain business and management principles related to tourism, forms of administration, strategic management methods, human resource management specifics, business environment characteristics, and economic, financial, political, legal, historical, socio-cultural, and environmental issues.
- Describe the theoretical foundations of tourism as a rapidly developing industry, the role and significance of the tourism sector at both national and global levels, and the application of strategic management, operations management, risk management, safety tools, and technologies.
Skills
- Analyze tourism and recreational resources, classifications of transport, accommodation and food service industries, modern approaches to effective operation, guiding techniques, and specialized tourism services and technologies within their competence.
- Evaluate key aspects of tour operator management, tour development tools, and various forms of tourism, including cultural and business tourism.
- Apply tourism marketing tools and techniques for developing tourism market strategies and for planning, designing, and implementing tourism products and projects.
- Develop research-based or practical projects, thematic assignments, and events in various tourism fields using tourism statistical data and following predetermined guidelines.
- Develop tourism products using modern information and communication technologies and reservation systems, and communicate effectively through oral and written formats.

Students who require a visa to study at an authorized Georgian institution normally apply for a D3 immigration visa. The correct entry route depends on citizenship and legal residence, so applicants must check Georgia’s eConsul eligibility tool and the responsible embassy before applying.
